Our Sunday Summer League has a space at under 8 and a space at under 9. All other age groups are full.

We will again be running a Summer League this year. Last year was our first year running a Summer League yet we had over 160 teams and it may be that that number is significantly exceeded this year.

We will have fixtures in WKJFL from end of May running for 8 weeks, finishing the weekend in July that most schools finish for the holidays again as we did last year. We will be operating on both Saturdays and Sundays at Jeffrey Humble Ground on the best 3G pitches and with the best facilities. We will be operating age groups from under 8 through to under 15 to the extent our pitch capacity will allow. Age groups are based on next Winter League age groups ie current Winter League under 7s will be Summer League under 8s etc. We will be implementing new Future Fit playing conditions, ie Summer League under 8s and 9s will play 5v5, under 10s and 11s will play 7v7, under 12s and 13s will play 9v9, and under 14s and 15s will play 11v11.

The cost to participate will be kept to the minimum eg we expect costs to participate for a full 8 weeks in under 8 s and under 9s to be a total of £50 plus 8 weekly match fees of £11. We get asked repeatedly, why is it so cheap? What’s the catch? The answer is that is the cost to play in WKJFL and on the best 3G pitches at Jeffrey Humble. There is no catch or other costs. If you’re asking because the cost is significantly more elsewhere, ask them why it’s expensive rather than why what we need to cover costs is low!

We are in the final stages of finalising all the details and necessary information for our Summer League. This will be concluded over the weekend. Full details and application forms will be made available here this coming Monday 16th February in the evening.

Please be reassured that our processes and how we operate are completely transparent. Currently there are no applications accepted for our Summer League as the application process does not commence until next Monday when everybody has the same opportunity to apply at the same time. Any questions you may have after the application process goes live can be addressed in person with us at Jeffrey Humble Ground on a Sunday morning. Due to the anticipated interest levels we will be unable to respond to enquiries other than in person.
