WINTER LEAGUE Season 2026/2027 – Applications for League places

Should you wish to apply for a place in Walton and Kirkdale JFL for Winter League season 2026/2027 commencing in September 2026 you must complete Application form below. You will be required to acknowledge in the application form that you received a copy of the “League information document” below.

For season 2026/2027, age groups will be as follows:-
Under 8 Development League playing 5v5 (for players under 7 on 31st August 2026)
Under 8 and Under 9 playing 5v5
Under 10 and Under 11 playing 7v7
Under 12 and Under 13 playing 9v9
Under 14 and Under 15 playing 11v11
Process
10th April 2026 – applications go live to all
20th April 2026 – applications reviewed
24th April 2026 – successful applicants notified
We have changed our process to invite all teams/clubs to apply at the same time as existing WKJFL teams/clubs, this is part of our wishing to open WKJFL to more new teams/clubs, many of whom have wanted a place in the League in the past but have been unsuccessful due to the League being heavily oversubscribed in previous seasons.
Places in WKJFL are likely to be in heavy demand given the dozens of enquiries already received from teams/clubs not currently part of WKJFL. Should you want to play every week on 3G pitches (up to and including under 13 age group) at the best facilities and the lowest costs where every player in non-competitive football (up to and including under 11 age group) receives an award (every season to date including the current season, this has been a sizeable trophy and not a medal on a ribbon, we have done this every season for in excess of 15 years and we are proud to give this to every player regardless of ability without additional cost as WKJFL embodies the true spirit of football being for all who wish to play and enjoy doing so at WKJFL) at the end of the season……. then get your application submitted or most likely miss out.
So many teams playing on grass come to us asking to join when the weather shows signs of turning in October…..other teams come to us asking for a space having just finished some mini-season type event elsewhere at the end of the year……. unfortunately we have always been unable to accept such applications as we have always been full. Winter League runs from September through to May each year and the application process for that is now and if previous seasons repeat then not making an application now but waiting until a later date may result in disappointment.
Should you have any queries regarding WKJFL or the application process please come and see us in the cafe area at Jeffrey Humble of a Sunday – best time is between 9 and 12 and we are often there much later on a Sunday also.
